Kirk's bridge is not beige. Picard likes wimpy violin music -- and coerces Data into playing it. Picard allows cats on board, while Kirk beams away even really cute things, like Tribbles. Kirk is a cultural icon -- Picard is just some guy who's really nice.

However, this computer display gives as the year Archer's captaincy of Enterprise came to an end, which is contradicted by the date given in " These Are the Voyages The Next Generation episode " Yesterday's Enterprise " mentions a planet called Archer IV, but it is unknown whether it is named for him.
At least two starships were named for him: Vanguard and its follow-up Star Trek: Seekers, and an unspecified ship alluded to in Star Trek: The Star Trek film briefly references Archer, as Montgomery Scott receives punishment stemming from an incident involving a transporter and "Admiral Archer's prized Beagle.
